How to set-up MFA as an admin user

To increase security CARIA is implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) - this will make it harder for  unauthorized users to access your account. 

To set-up MFA as an admin user who is already logged into CARIA you can follow these steps: 

1. Click on "Admin" in the top right hand corner
2. Click on "Manage" within users
3. Click on your name within the list of users (you can't enable MFA for other users)
4. There will be an MFA toggle visible, click the toggle to enable MFA
5. A pop-up window will display with steps on how to set-up MFA
   
   • Download an authenticator app on your phone
   • Once downloaded click to add a new account
   • Scan the QR code displayed
   • Enter the authentication code into CARIA
   • Copy and save your recovery codes (you can use these to login when unable to generate an authentication code)
   • Click 'complete set-up'
6. Once MFA has been set-up you can either log out or stay in CARIA and continue working

You won’t be able to access CARIA until MFA is configured
