- I cannot scan the QR code
If you’re unable to scan the QR code during MFA setup (perhaps due to a camera issue or a poor display of the code), you can contact the CARIA customer success team.
- I have used my last recovery code or lost my recovery codes
If you are unable to use your recovery codes to access CARIA please contact the customer success team who will be able to help reset MFA.
- What is a recovery code?
A recovery code is an 8 characters backup code provided to users when they set up MFA. It allows them to regain access to their account if they lose access to their authentication device (normally a phone). Users are instructed to save these recovery codes in a secure place, as each code can only be used once. We don't recommend saving these on your authentication device in case it gets lost.
- What does resetting MFA mean?
Resetting MFA involves removing the current MFA and configuring it again.
- What is remember me? (on screen text "don't ask again for X number of days")
The "remember me" feature allows you to bypass MFA for a set period (e.g. 30 days). When enabled, it sets a persistent cookie in the browser, so you aren't prompted to MFA every time you login from that computer within the specified timeframe.
