Budgets page

The budgets page of CARIA allows you to select stations and enter in budgets. 

Points to note: 

• Station set-up in CARIA is dictated by the media owners themselves, they advise us how they want their stations represented and we set them up accordingly
• The CARIA station list works on a macro to micro level, budgets can be assigned at the macro level or listings with chevrons (>) beside them can be opened up to assign budgets to the micro level stations 
• You can select a station and leave the budget field blank, it is possible to send zero budget bookings to media owners
• Once a budget has been sent to a media owner you can edit the budget and remove selected stations, however you will not be able to deselect ALL stations from within the media owner listing as this would act as a cancellation and these are handled on the "Review/Send" page

Planned budget management: 

CARIA can help you manage your planned budget, there is a "Planned Budget" field at the top of the station list. 

Once a planned budget has been entered CARIA will drawn down from this budget until all budget has all been allocated, then a warning message will be displayed and you will be unable to allocate any additional unplanned budget.

Additionally, if you don't allocate all your planned budget to a station or set of stations you will be blocked from sending your booking. 

There are two ways to override the planned budget rules: 

1. Increase/decrease your planned budget as required
2. Enter in any unallocated budget to the "Unallocated Budget" field at the bottom of the CARIA station list

BVOD line items: 

VOD sites for Channel 4 and Sky Media require additional line item information, when you allocate budget to these sites you will need to set-up one or more line items as required and all budget allocated to the VOD site must be allocated whole or split between multiple line items. If the total line item budget/s and the VOD site budget do not match you will be unable to send the booking. 

Trading currencies: 

It is possible to add in more trading detail for your allocated budgets, there is an optional "Use Trading Currencies" checkbox at the top right hand side of the station list. Once ticked additional fields "Deal Type" and "Deal Value" will become visible. 

You can use these fields to select and enter in deal parameters relevant to your budget such as CPT or discount values.
