When two copy instructions are incorrectly created for the same campaign (client/product) this causes confusion for traffic teams.
Best practise is to cancel one of the copy instructions and merge the information from the cancelled one into the active one.
Cancelling independent copy instructions - with no bookings attached
- Decide which CRI you want to retain and then compare both. Ensure you enter any details from the the CRI you are going to cancel into the one you are keeping active
- Edit the one you are going to cancel by deleting any detail blocks not currently in flight or end dating any that are
- Add a note to the CRI referencing that it is a duplicate, include the CRI reference number of the one you are keeping active
- Send the empty CRI to all traffic depts
Cancelling copy instructions with attached bookings
- Decide which CRI you want to retain and then compare both. Ensure you enter any details from the the CRI you are going to cancel into the one you are keeping active
- Edit the one you are going to cancel by deleting any detail blocks not currently in flight or end dating any that are
- Add a note to the CRI referencing that it is a duplicate, include the CRI reference number of the one you are keeping active
- In the view/send pop-up window click on the "Attached Approvals" tab
- Click "Detach" on any bookings you need to remove, the bookings will go back into your inbox
- Send the empty CRI to all traffic depts
Adding information from cancelled copy instructions to active ones
- Navigate to the CRI inbox and locate the bookings you need to attach to the existing CRI you want to keep active
- Select the bookings and click "Attach to existing CRI"
- Select the relevant CRI and press "Attach"
- Once all bookings have bee attached, go into the CRI and ensure it is set-up as required
- Send updated CRI to all traffic depts
