To create a copy instruction (CRI) containing multiple pieces of copy which are targeting specific regions you can follow these steps:
- On step 1 - Edit copy, complete all the mandatory fields and add all clock number details
- Click on the "Show more/less detail" dropdown and click "Show Region Restrictions"
- A region dropdown will appear next to each clock number, select the relevant region applicable to the clock. The dropdown is not mandatory if one clock has a region restriction but others don't, only apply a region to the relevant clock and leave the others blank.
- Save step 1 and move to step 2 - copy relationships
- Add clocks with no regional restriction to detail block one and select stations that don't accommodate regional restrictions.
- Add your region specific clock to detail block two and select the region relevant to the copy.
- Save and move to step 3 - Review/Send
- Review your CRI and if you're happy send to all traffic depts.
Points to note:
- If you add a regional specific clock numbers or stations to pre-existing detail blocks you need to ensure the regions match. If not, Caria will display a warning and block you from sending the CRI. For example a clock number restricted to Scotland only and you add to a detail block containing station LWT.
- Regional restrictions are only applicable to the linear stations for ITV1 and Channel 4.
- If a region is incorrectly applied to a clock number or the regionality for a clock changes you can edit the applied region in Admin / Maintain Copy Library.
- You can see what regional restrictions have been applied to a clock number in the copy library on step 1 and also in the "copy defined for this CRI" box on step 2.
